Percy Miller, Jr. : ウィキペディア英語版 | Percy Miller, Jr. William Percy Miller Jr. (born June 6, 1931), is a former minor league baseball player who broke the color barrier in the Carolina League. The son of Negro league pitcher Percy Miller, he played for the Danville Stars negro team then made his debut for the Danville Leafs as the first integrated pro team in Virginia on August 9, 1951 playing 19 games that season. Bill White, who would be the second black player in the Carolina League, played for Danville in 1953. Miller was "released" as not being polished enough to play in February 1952 and returned to the Stars. He was born in Danville, VA and died there on January 11, 2003. ==External links==
